The video made on July 17, 2017 as part of the Beenomix project presents the SFC used by the project partnership for selection within the core.
A dozen colonies led by sister DPQs producing selected drones are located at the site.
DPQs operate as a virtual father. The site also contains the fertilization cores where the royal cells hatch and from which the virgins depart for their nuptial flight.
Fertilized queens are collected and replaced by new royal cells every 3 weeks during the summer season. the SFC is located in an isolated location in the Lombardy Alps.
