Genomic sequencing sampling that began in 2017 was supplemented in spring 2018 with additional bees from different genetic types.
A few individuals from Ezio Poletti (Cavaglio d’Agogna, NO) of Buckfast type were sampled on March 23, and on April 3 we completed with more Buckfast from Giacomo Acerbi (Gavazzana, AL).

With these samples recently sent to Germany for complete genomic sequencing, we can consider this phase concluded.

In the coming months, as we acquire the latest data, we will be able to reason about the genetic variability of Italian bees sampled in 120 individuals and traceable to all genetic types in the country.
